Starcraft 2 is probably the most anticipated game of the year. A couple weeks ago, we announced that we would have having a SC2 beta tournament, provided the beta was still going.

Yesterday, Blizzard Entertainment announced a tenative beta schedule for the game.

We’d like to let all of our StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta test participants know that the first phase of the beta test will be coming to an end in all regions on Monday, May 31. The beta test will be unavailable for several weeks while we make some hardware and software configuration changes in preparation for the final phase of the beta test and the release of the game. We plan to bring the beta test back online for a couple of weeks prior to the game’s launch to complete our testing. We’ll have more details to share about when this final beta-testing phase will begin at a later date.

To sum that up, all of June or more looks to be like there will be no SC2. Then it opens up "a couple weeks before the release" ... right around MLP'010. Needless to say, it's going to be a nail-biter. So that's as much as we can say right now. Keep an eye on the SC2 beta forums and this site for more info on official dates.

SteelSeries is a maker of excellent computer accessories. I've owned my SteelSeries keyboard Merc gaming keyboard for a little less than a year now and I have to say this is by far the best keyboard I've ever purchased.
