Helpers At MassiveLAN

Helpers wanted! If you’re looking to be a part of a great team of MassiveLANners, and help steer our event, please take a moment to take a look below and see if you could be a fit for us.

Expectations

Both before and during the event, you'll be expected to do the following:

  • 1 (one), 2 (two) hour shift at the help desk

  • Be available during LAN hours, checking in and out with the Event Coordinator.

  • Espouse the values outlined in the MassiveLAN Code of Conduct, conducting yourself professionally at all times.

  • Maintain contact with the Helper Coordinator or Event Coordinator for duties to be assigned.

  • Seek opportunities for improvement to the event, and communicate them while attending MassiveLAN meetings.

  • Report issues with the event, including security and safety concerns to the Event Coordinator immediately.

  • Be present in entirety for either event setup or tear down (both preferred), which occurs outside of public event hours.

  • Working this event requires some degree of physical effort - you should be able to lift or carry up to 50lbs, walk distances, and spend time on your feet. Arrangements can be made for people with injuries or disabilities to still be involved.

Becoming a helper

  • Fill out this form on google

  • Ping @staff in discord to let us know you filled it out

  • We will let you know if you are a fit for us within 2-4 weeks typically

  • We will re-evaluate your status as a helper after 1 event and discuss your performance and participation before, during, and after the event.

Current Openings

  1. CONSOLE TEAM:
    Looking for someone to help organize/be a part of a team to run the console area of the event. These responsibilities would include:

    1. Finding and/or bringing consoles and related equipment to the event

    2. Running (or assist running) 1-2 tournaments during the event

    3. Scheduling self or others for organized games/activities
